Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Rev. Kinsey grew in faith through St. Paul, Central UMC, and Asbury UMC, where she was confirmed, committed her life to Christ, and answered the call to ministry. After graduating from McMurry University and Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, Rev. Kinsey was ordained a deacon in 1990 and an elder in 1993, and has served United Methodist congregations across New Mexico, Texas, and beyond. Her ministry has included pastoral leadership, youth ministry, mentoring candidates for ministry, onboarding new pastors, chairing the Board of Ordained Ministry, and pursuing church renewal through adaptive leadership and my Doctor of Ministry work at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. She is grateful to return to her home church and to join this congregation in making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
